The 'noughties

In the ‘noughties, two important songs were issued to which Giancarlo made a precious contribution: “E mi alzo sui pedali”, dedicated to the cyclist Marco Pantani and recorded by the group Stadio with Gaetano Curreri’s excellent performance; and “Pensa” by Fabrizio Moro, inspired by recent Mafia crimes, the winning song of the 2007 Sanremo Festival (Newcomers’ Section). For Povia he wrote “Mia Sorella” and “Quando i bambini fanno ooh”,  and for Mina ”Il pazzo”, where you can hear his voice in a background chorus.
