The film tells the story of some grammar school kids in Rome and their tragicomic adventures, taking off all the clichés of adolescent comedy. Bets on who will get off with who, first love and whole afternoons spent at the bar Chewingum, they get to A-levels and then, as happens in life, everyone goes their own way. At the end we discover that the plot of the film was just a dream of one of the students, a dream which somehow represents all the dreams and hopes that young people have at that precise point of their lives, the passage from adolescence to adulthood.
