Motin, (Willy Jobert Motin), was born in Douala, Cameroon, 23 July 1989.
At age of 15, he began to compose lyrics and melodies inspired by his musical myths with a predilection for French music of 60 and the romantic melodies of Jacques Brel. Growing he starts to embrace the sound of its origins with percussion after listening to the works of Brenda Fassie.
In 2011 he arrives in Italy where it is immediately noticed for the timbre of his voice; the following year, in fact, he became a member of the choir of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
In the 2013-2014 he works in the musical "Rent" where shows, in addition to his vocal abilities, also his passion for dancing.
Recently approached to jazz and became fascinated by the strings often found in the genre, he decides to include them in his latest compositions.
A strong and singular character, a recognizable voice, loudness researcher of "European sounds" mixed with African rhythms, a crossroads of many styles. This is how Motin is ready to offer himself as the chansonnier of today.
