Music and poetry, poetry and music – that’s Giancarlo Bigazzi, with all his charisma and genius. Brusque, sometimes also a bit surly, but with a big generous heart and always there for other people. His music has punctuated the most important stages of my life, his cheeky presence enlivened all those dinners, really intensive in the summer and frequent throughout the year. We just had to look at each other to understand everything. Only very few times in our lives do we make such precious friends. With Giancarlo I had this privilege, a wonderful gift; today I miss him terribly. All those laughs, jokes, cigarettes, and hours and hours of pleasant company. An unshakeable friendship which lies intact in the depths of my heart.
