Diego Nicolosi (aka Papillon), is a Sicilian-born singer-songwriter born in Saronna (VA) in 1983,
a painter and art curator who graduated from the Iulm University in Milan. In 2009 he reached the final stages in the
National 'Musica Controcorrente' competition in Rome and in Rieti for the 'Premio Poggio Bustone', dedicated
to Lucio Battisti. In 2010, in collaboration with RAI conductor and arranger M° Valeriano
Chiaravalle, he was in the national finals at 'Area Sanremo'. Other single releases followed over the years
until 2021, when - with the arrangement by conductor Clemente Ferrari - the song Il capitale di mia
digital platforms the song Il capitale della mia poesia.
In the same year, together with record producer Giovanni Bigazzi (son of the unforgettable producer and
musician Giancarlo Bigazzi) and the composer and singer Franco Fasano (winner of the
Sanremo Festival as author in 1989 with Ti lascerò, sung by the Leali-Oxa couple and author for Drupi,
Fiordaliso, Di Capri, Arigliano and many others), the Papillon project kicks off, marking a renewed
activity for the GB Music label, under the sign of the great Giancarlo. Creating an ideal 'bridge' between the
Maestro's countless successes and an unprecedented activity that looks to the future.
